This is the story of some “crazy” friends since childhood, passionate about the area and its culture, who in the year 2000 decided to plant our own vineyards. We wanted to know and update the possibilities of this mountainous area in Liebana council, surrounded by the Picos de Europa, whose ancient winemaking tradition had been lost.

One thing led to another and with the passage of time we were completely involved, founding the Company called Compañía Lebaniega de vinos y licores S.L. known by our trademark Picos de Cabariezo. A pioneer winery and distillery set in Cantabria that has managed to contribute to the growth and recovery of these mountain vines, with a unique microclimate and terroir and a personality in the wines that we love …

We have also maintained the heritage of this area in our distillery, with a pure making crafts and marcs of extraordinary quality.

The achievements and work of this company and our family environment, with a clear and firm commitment to quality in everything we do, has made it recognized and awarded with the National Prize Fecoes as best winery-distillery artisan 2.017.

From the beginning, we have also been developing a whole project dedicated to the ENOTURISMO (wine tourism), with guided visits where to know and taste what we do, providing an alternative in this wonderful landscape and privileged environment …
